    • I have faced two cases of food norne botulism who were diagnosed and admitted into our ICU section. Trivalent Botulinum Antitoxin were given for both and they were kept under mechanical ventilation. The mother needed around 3 weeks to be weaned from Mech. Vent and the young son needed around 12 days only. Both were discharged home safely.

The antidote is the only way for ttt particularly if given at appropiate time. Yet, I want to ask about the possibility of shortening this (very long) duration needed for mech ventilation for such patients. I read a lot of literature but I want to ask specifically about Cobolamine preparations weather they can promot NM transmission if given concomittantly with the Antidote. As we know, BTX targets SNARE proteins at the nerve terminalswhich I do not know if their function could be promoed by higher doses of cobolamines.
