Our Client is a leading European Speciality Chemicals distributor of chemicals and food ingredients including Acids, Lye’s and Solvents into the Personal care and Pharmaceutical markets. Established 25 years ago, our client is represented in 18 countries with more than 40 locations in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America employing 1100 employees. A customer-centric organization focused on delivering high quality and cost effective solutions. They are currently wishing to appoint an Account Manager to be located in the East Midlands.Duties and Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the development of commercial activities by managing your own accounts & product portfolio. Responsible for maintaining close contact with existing suppliers and producersResponsible for expanding potential contacts Required to be familiar the entire process of purchasing, sales, logistics and marketing functions being an important link between customers and suppliers. To review, negotiate, and implement pricing policy in line with company policy.Requirements: Experience in field salesRelevant sales experience in a business-to-business environmentThe willingness to travel nationallyA good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and WordExperience of chemical distribution would be preferred but not essential.Required to have a strong commercial understanding and able to exploit opportunities. Required to be solution and results-oriented as well as having strong analytical and communication skills.
