Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company.  You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by developing and managing its procedures and coaching its people. 

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various consulting business processes.  The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities.  They must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.

The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company's operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee manufacturing, purchasing and sales departments
  • Identifying and targeting areas in which a business can improve operation
  • Monitoring revenue margins
  • Overseeing employee productivity and quality
  • Researching and implementing new directives for business growth and prosperity
  • Developing and implementing guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment, discipline and promotion
  • Manage consulting processes and coordinate resource utilization and allocation
  • Oversee client support processes and organize them to enhance client satisfaction
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Manage relationships / agreements with external partners / vendors
  • Manage existing client relationships / personnel management

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience as director / operations manager / or project manager
  • Ten (10) Plus years of prior experience with life science consulting operations
  • BS/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
  • Solid references
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Responsible for keeping businesses profitable throughout its every function from HR to production
  • Responsible for the growth and profitability of a company or organization i.e. expense control, staff management, goods production and department supervision
  • Extremely organized, keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work within different aspects of the business
  • Liaising with General Manager to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Work closely with sales personnel to provide staffing solutions to opportunities
  • Planning and monitoring the day to day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Supervising staff and provide constructive feedback
