Medical Communications Associate

Working at a leading international Medical Communications Agency you will create and project manage medical communications, and medical education programs raising awareness of Pharmaceutical Research amongst healthcare professionals.

Entry level (associate) position requiring an advanced biomedical education; PhD, PharmD, an interest in medical writing, and an interest in the commercial drug development process. 

Working as a medical writer on behalf of various Pharmaceutical Company clients you will be educating healthcare professionals regarding a wide range of therapy areas, and cutting edge biomedical research.

Duties

• Medical Writing content for medical communication and medical education project including :
• Elearning modules for training of healthcare professionals.
• Slide Decks to be presented at Scientific Congress, and Medical meetings
• Marketing materials applied for medical scientific liaison meetings
• Materials for Advisory Boards to ascertain opinions regarding disease awareness and treatment options.
• Speaker slides

Project managing projects such as :

• Liaise with Key Opinion Leaders attending advisory boards, and scientific meetings
• Coordinate the editorial process ensuring timely delivery of materials
• Briefing events team regarding speaker and other requirements 

Attending Scientific Congress

• Representing the Medical Communications Agency and providing support to speakers at Scientific Congress, Medical Conferences and Meetings. You will provide last minute editorial support such as editing of speaker presentations. Moreover attending scientific meetings is an opportunity for you to meet with representatives of the Pharmaceutical Company client as well as to engage with key opinion leaders. Further you will attend oral presentations, and other meetings, so as to enhance your medical and scientific understanding. You will write a conference report highlighting key points for the benefit of your Pharmaceutical Company Client.

Medical Communications Associate.  Candidate Criteria :

• Right to work in the Netherlands
• Educated to advanced biomedical degree i.e. PhD, PharmD
• Interested in the commercial pharmaceutical drug development process
• Ability to disseminate complex clinical data for a non-specialist audience such as General Practitioners, Nurses, and other Healthcare Professionals
• You meet a wide variety of senior healthcare professionals, as well as representatives of Pharmaceutical Companies and therefore a confident and professional communication manner is required
• Project management skills demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks, and priorities 
• Taking initiative, and working independently is required, as well as being a good team player
• High level of spoken and written English 
• Available to attend international scientific congress requiring overnight stays and occasional weekend attendance
