Job Description

The Sr. / Director, LEO Training leads the sales training team, with overall responsibility for all disease state, brand training, and selling skills training. This role oversees the design, development and delivery of all advanced curriculum, i.e. new hires as well as the current LEO sales force, and leads the workshop development of National, Regional POA and Launch meetings, for all brands. Additionally, this role is responsible for sales leadership development of Regional Business Managers and contributes to the development of Area Business Directors. This role also leads the Emerging LEO Leadership Program.

Your contribution to the team would include: 


  • Coach/lead the training team as they work with Human Resources and other cross-functional departments when onboarding new-hires to effectively facilitate process for new Territory Business Managers
  • Develop and execute the annual training plan for product, disease state, selling skill and leadership development.
  • Align with Vice President of Sales to identify advanced business planning and selling skills needs and develop a training plan the field. 
  • Drive uptake and initiation of the Enhanced Selling Model and Coaching Model. Lead, manage and develop the Managers/Sr. Managers of Training and Area Field trainers in their roles as product, disease state and selling skill trainers 
  • Contribute as a member of Sales Leadership Team
  • Manage the annual training budget
  • Lead continued efforts to develop the evaluation plan for measuring effectiveness of all training programs, working with Coordinator, FFE 
  • Collaborate with the Sale Leadership Team and key stakeholders to plan and implement agendas for all training workshops, and reference guides for all pre-POA and POA meetings
  • Develop and execute all Leadership Development strategies and tactics for field sales

Desired Skills & Experience
  • BA/BS degree in one of the life sciences required; advanced degree preferred. 
  • 3-5 or more years successful sales experience; Proven track record of strong selling skills and disease state knowledge
  • 10 +years of sales training and development experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry, with former experience managing people in this capacity required
  • Experience in the dermatology and / or biologics space is preferred
  • Experience designing and developing training curriculum, workshops, POAs
  • Fundamental knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Must demonstrate exceptional platform/presentation skills
  • The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required; some nights, weekends and overnight travel may be required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
