Senior Medical Writer. Snapshot : 

A long established independent owner managed boutique healthcare communications agency delivering Medical Education programmes that influences HCP behaviour and builds brand advocacy. 

The agency’s client base is predominantly UK Pharmaceutical and BioTech companies Working on a mixture of national and international campaigns you will join a team of 10 to write and edit content for delivery across Medical Education programmes.

The owners are hands on with leading strategy and business development - they have 50 years of experience between them meaning you’ll be learning from people at the top of their game. The directors have a background in big Pharma which gives them and you a unique insight into what medical affairs teams need and expect from their medical education agencies. Currently at 30 staff the directors plan to be at 40 staff by end 2020 - with this fast paced growth, long term client base, and impressive annual revenue this is a secure position.

Located in Buckinghamshire surrounded by lovely Chilterns countryside the office is easily reached from all of Buckinghamshire as well as from many parts of West London, North West London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Bedfordshire. There is free car parking at the office; Central London is easily reached by tube. It’s a great team with regular socials and a terrific supportive working environment. The team structure : 

You will report to an Editorial team leader. This is a dream role for a writer wanting to just get on and write great content as opposed to managing staff or chasing KOLS for slide edits. You will be joining an editorial team of 10 - this is likely to grow in 2020 and beyond as the agency increases its client base - this means you’ll get to work on a wide range of interesting projects. Moreover given the long term nature of many of the clients you will get to experience the brand at different stages of its life cycle presenting you fresh challenges - for example as new evidence emerges. 

Editorial work : 

The agency delivers traditional and digital medical education programmes :

  • Pharma sponsored meetings for an audience of Health Care Professionals 
  • Digital learning channels such as webinars 
  • Stand-alone meetings - national and international 
  • Advisory boards 
  • Satellite meetings 
  • Key Opinion and Advocacy management

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • Experience working as a Medical Writer within an agency environment such as a Medical Education Agency, Healthcare Communications Agency, Healthcare Advertising Agency, Healthcare PR agency, or experience of working with a Pharmaceutical company within Medical Affairs, Marketing, or Medical Information.  

  • Ability to write content for a range of traditional and digital MedEd programmes across multiple disease areas.
