The opportunity : 

Working as Account Manager Healthcare PR you will run one or more small accounts taking the lead on communication plans. You will be afforded the autonomy to work with minimal supervision.
You will be supported in the development of your strategic account development skills so that you understand the “big picture” in relation to the  strategic objectives of the healthcare communications project.

You will cultivate the client & agency relationship building trust with the client and ensuring effective day-to-day communications., You will be key in developing effective team working ensuring that financial and administrative processes are followed. Focussed on quality you will use your knowledge and experience to identify areas for improvement in daily agency operations so that clients and staff continue to receive best service. As a positive role model you will inspire and motivate account executives ensuring their knowledge and skills are developed - for example by contributing to webinars and other in-house events such as “lunch and learns”. 

Key responsibilities : Account Manager Healthcare PR

  • Run small accounts and run significant projects within larger accounts leading on communication plans, and media strategies
  • Contribute to strategic account planning & development 
  • Advise senior colleagues regarding workload, budgets, and schedules with you taking ownership for proactive project tracking so as to meet deadlines 
  • Delegation of tasks and monitoring of junior staff’s workload and quality control 
  • Content development across your campaigns 
  • Develop relationships with journalists across the Pharma and Healthcare media
  • Motivate, coach. and support the career development of junior account staff 
  • Allocate work to junior account team members
  • Ensure client service levels are met 
  • Maintain profitability of accounts by contributing to the creation of campaign budgets, and monitoring budgets throughout campaigns

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • Experience of contributing to the running of healthcare PR projects 

  • Project management skills : ability to prioritise across multiple campaigns 

  • Knowledge : a good awareness of the Pharmaceutical, Health & Wellness media landscape

  • Budget management : you’ll be comfortable tracking budgets and be confident in raising queries with your Senior Account Manager
