Reporting to the National Manager, Pediatric Infectious Disease, the Account Specialist - Pediatric Infectious Disease is empowered build strategic relationships and engaging with key influencers & decision makers to ensure that high-risk infants are protected from the devastating threat of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Map the RSV patient journey to build a solid understanding of the pathway, identify unmet needs and improve the patient experience
Build effective results oriented account strategies and communicate the clinical benefits of our products to drive performance
Create deep key account relationships by analyzing problems and considering options to do things differently
Engage with RSV Specialists, neonatologists & program coordinators to optimize the delivery of RSV immuno-prophylaxis programs
Partner with marketing, medical and reimbursement team to support provincial policy initiatives & optimize reimbursement criteria
Work closely with the team to share improved practices and create opportunities for learning and shared platforms
Engage Specialists via digital tools to improve value and build new insights
Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures
University degree in science and/or business
Specialty sales experience with sound knowledge of institutional account management
Experience in pediatrics / neonatology and/or in the area of vaccines
Able to positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships
Experience engaging key influencers in sophisticated clinical environments, you have built the strategy to improve treatment and executed the strategy using your planning and influencing skills
Well-organized with strong communication and business skills
